Group mat work classes are small in size and suit beginners and the more advanced clients.
They consist of 55min of stretch and strengthening exercises performed on a mat.
A variety of props may be used to compliment the class.
These include a small ball, a fit ball, elastics and the foam roller.
One physiotherapy consult is required prior to commencing the class to do a full assessment and determine if the client is actually suitable to attend a group session. Some advice on posture or activation of core muscles is often included in this session.
These classes are run during the school term in 8-11 week blocks.
